Pete Neutze served in the Navy during WWII. With the opportunity to have a civil service job once his contract ended, Pete decided to take a risk and become an entrepreneur and go into business for himself.
He first started his business as a Foremost milk distributor.
Pete continued his entrepreneurship by opening up a convenience store during the 1950's, during the early stages of convenience stores, nothing like what we have today with a convenience store located on every corner.
Inside the Stores
Pete opened "Peter Rabbit's fast food" which were delis that served our customers fast, hot-and-ready tortillas under, "Pedro Conejo".
A few of the Minits store still have the Peter Rabbits brand inside of them, and some have been renamed. All locations still serve hot fresh food as well as salads and sandwiches, and you can still grab yourself some warm, delicious homemade torillas!
